The Role

Arpac is expanding and we need your help! We are currently looking for a Dock Service Technician at our Delta branch. The ideal candidate has previous experience working on a variety of docks and doors.

 

A Typical Day

Dock Service Technicians are supplied a company vehicle which is taken home each night – no more commute in your own vehicle burning expensive gas! You use your company-supplied cell phone to call dispatch, who schedules your day from one customer job site to another. Only periodic trips are made into the branch to resupply your van with parts. This position performs repairs, maintenance, and inspections on Dock Equipment and Doors at customer sites. This position brings variety to the day which is always different.

Expected Salary:  Overall compensation will range from 65,000 to 105,000 per year, and will be determined based on apprentice status, applicable industry experience and background (or related, i.e. automotive or heavy equipment), and working available overtime.

Our Delta Storage Products division is seeking a full-time CAD Designer to join our Engineering and Design team! The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience designing customized racking parts and systems, experience using AutoCAD, and a post-secondary diploma in Computer Aided Design.

A Typical Day

As CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, and layouts for our clients and inspecting custom designed racking systems onsite. This includes collaborating closely with our Engineering and Installation teams to identify and troubleshoot design issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.   • A post-secondary diploma in Civil Structural Architectural Drafting from an accredited educational institution
  • 2 years+ experience using AutoCAD to design selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems
  • 2 years+ experience designing customized racking parts to fit various racking systems
  • 2 years+ experience working with forklifts as they relate to the design of a wire guidance system, and forklift interfaces for custom racking systems
  • 2 years+ experience inspecting custom designed selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems, while working under the guidance of a BC-registered Structural Engineer
  • Experience with torque specifications, embedment, clearance issues as related to engineering requirements and the BCBC 2018 and BCBC 2024
  • Previous experience using a micrometer to identify and record used racking systems
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with personal vehicle to travel throughout BC to perform inspection work
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Products is required (Outlook, Excel and Word)

About the Role

Arpac is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager to support our Alberta and BC operations. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of employee relations, safety programs, legal counsel, and the day-to-day management of our HR department.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources and Employee Support

  • Facilitate performance reviews, handle exit interviews, and support termination processes in alignment with management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations related to workplace issues, including incidents involving safety, harassment, discrimination, and more.
  • Proactively address and resolve HR issues with practical solutions, developing and implementing action plans.

Safety Program Management

  • Perform site inspections to promote and ensure safe work practices.
  • Oversee and manage ongoing COR (Certificate of Recognition) requirements, including conducting internal audits.

  • Coordinate with contractors to maintain compliance with safety standards.

Injury Management

Legislative & Legal Compliance

  • Provide consistent and pragmatic advice on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, discipline, and legislative matters.

Daily Operations

  • Participate in safety meetings across Alberta and BC.
