ARPAC is expanding and we need your help! We are currently looking for a Service Technician for our team. The ideal candidate is a lift truck, automotive or heavy duty journeyperson with experience servicing Forklifts A combination of education and experience will be considered.

A Typical Day

Field Service Technicians are supplied a company vehicle which is taken home each night – no more commuting in your own vehicle burning expensive gas! You use your company-supplied cell phone to call dispatch, who schedules your day from one customer job site to another. Only periodic trips are made into the branch to resupply your van with parts – which means your day is always different.

Shop Service Technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance and breakdown repair of various material handling equipment at the ARPAC branch. In the shop you will encounter variety in your work and will be able to hone in and advance your skills.

Requirements

  • Applicable lift truck, automotive or heavy-duty service experience
  • And/or:
  • Automotive or Heavy-Duty service technician ticket (Journeyperson) or registered apprentice
  • Clean and valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Good communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude

The ideal candidate will have some prior administrative experience and will possess proven professional written and verbal communication skills in a corporate environment, all complimented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

A Service Dispatcher’s day is never a dull one. Whether you are dispatching technicians throughout the city, processing payables, or work orders, your day will always be filled with a challenge and variety!

Requirements

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required
  • Proven professional written & verbal communication skills (English) in a corporate environment
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • High school diploma/ equivalent
  • Administrative/ customer service experience (2-5 years)

Expected Salary:  Overall compensation will range from 65,000 to 105,000 per year, and will be determined based on apprentice status, applicable industry experience and background (or related, i.e. automotive or heavy equipment), and working available overtime.

A Typical Day

The Buildings & Grounds Attendant is responsible for ensuring the exterior and surrounding areas of our facilities remain clean, safe, and well‑maintained. Your day may include tasks such as pressure washing, garbage removal, yard organization, basic building upkeep, and assisting with shipping/receiving duties as needed. No two days are ever the same.

  • Strong awareness of surroundings taking into account safety of self and others
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar industry or position would be considered an asset
  • Forklift/ scissor lift certification is considered an asset
